The Think G7 T7 Symposium featured a multifaceted discussion of resource (mineral, water, forest, marine, food, etc.) issues, as well as global environmental, economic, security, and cutting-edge science and technology issues.

Mr. Tshilidzi Marwala, Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations and President of the United Nations University, South Africa, in his capacity as UN Under-Secretary-General, spoke about the United Nations Security Council, saying, "The current permanent members of the Security Council are China, France, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States, but this should be reformed, in other words, the number of permanent members should be increased.
This issue was discussed at the UN last year.

Since the G20 will be held in India this year, H.E. Ambassador Shivi George, former Ambassador Chinoy, and many Indian intellectuals also attended the symposium, as well as the U.S. Embassy, Russian Embassy, and many other countries.
